Foundation Wittenberg-Center for Global Ethics
The charitable "Foundation Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics" was established in 2008, with the aim of providing ethical orientation and promoting responsible behavior in the global society. In the emerging world, globalization, world economy and competitive markets need to be utilized for the common good and the sustainable benefit of all people. Therefore common core principles have to be developed that promote peace, justice and welfare for all of humanity.
To contribute to universal ethical principles the foundation supports dialogue with people and organizations and sponsors projects promoting mutual understanding, enlightenment and trust-building. The Foundation was established by the charitable Association Wittenberg-Zentrum für Globale Ethik e.V. The endowment capital was given by the Association as well as the German corporations BASF SE, Commerzbank AG, Deutsche Bank AG, EWE AG, K+S AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, RWE AG and VNG AG.
