Doctoral Program “Ethics & Responsible Leadership” inaugurate new scholarship holders

The next cohort of the “Ethics & Responsible Leadership” doctoral program, which was launched in April 2014, has arrived at the WCGE. The Welcome Ceremony took place today to inaugurate four new scholarship holders.

Over the next three years, the students will work their way through the study program as well as working in teams to complete field projects with corporations and other organisations which are engaged with the WCGE. The program aims to contribute to the academic and public discussion of responsible leadership in global competition by generating insights which are both theoretically-sound and practically-relevant. The doctoral students in the second cohort are graduates of business, psychology and sustainability management degrees and have gained work experience e.g. at a climate protection organization, a CSR research project and a social start-up. The program nows consists of 10 students from five different nations.

The doctoral program was established by the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics and the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin (LEIZ) in cooperation and is generously financed by the Karl-Schlecht Foundation. The HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen are the program’s academic partners. Since the program begain in April of last year, five seminars, two colloquiums and two field projects have been completed.
