It provides an exceptional opportunity for you to make substantial progress on your doctoral thesis:

Set in the historic town of Wittenberg (45 minutes from Berlin), this four-day retreat is designed to offer a structured, yet inspiring environment where you can dedicate time to your writing, overcome challenges such as writer’s block, and engage with fellow researchers.
Who is it for?
The Writing Retreat is open to doctoral students enrolled at European universities who are working on topics related to business or leadership ethics, broadly construed. Advanced Master’s students with an academic focus, as well as early-stage career researchers who have recently completed their PhD, are also very welcome to apply.
All academic disciplines and backgrounds are welcome. The WCGE has hosted a colorful mix of scholars before – from traditional ethicists, experimental economists, social psychologists to economic engineers and computer scientists. If your research even touches upon topics of ethics in business, leadership, or organizational behavior, this is the place for you to contribute and grow.
Costs: Thanks to the generous support of the Karl Schlecht Stiftung, the participation fee is only 50 €. This includes a room at the Leucorea, breakfast, lunches and two dinners, as well as the program. Please note that travel expenses are not covered.

ABOUT
The new Doctoral Academy “Business and Leadership Ethics” is an academic program hosted by the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics (WCGE) and the Friede Springer Chair of Business Ethics and Management Accounting at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. The distinguished academy, generously funded by the Karl Schlecht Stiftung, offers doctoral candidates a platform to advance their research, engage with renowned scholars, and foster meaningful connections between theoretical inquiry and practical application within the fields of business, and leadership ethics.
