Zwei Forschungsprofessuren für "Nachhaltigkeit und Globale Ethik" bzw. "Nachhaltigkeit und Globale Politik" ausgeschrieben

Zur Zeit läuft die Ausschreibung für zwei Forschungsprofessuren für "Nachhaltigkeit und Globale Ethik" bzw. "Nachhaltigkeit und Globale Politik". Die beiden Professuren sind an der Handelshochschule Leipzig (HHL) angesiedelt und arbeiten am Wittenberg-Zentrum für Globale Ethik (WCGE). Hiermit soll eine Kooperationsplattform für Nachhaltigkeitsforschung mit Kompetenzträgern in der Region Mitteldeutschland aufgebaut werden. Aufgabe ist es, die ökologischen, ökonomischen, sozialen und ethischen Dimensionen von Nachhaltigkeit insbesondere mit Blick auf Globale Ethik und Globale Politik zu bearbeiten. The professorships are sponsored by Dow Chemical and the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft. The starting date is March 2004 or later.
Applicants must be committed to both teaching and research and should combine rigorous conceptual and theoretical analysis with an orientation towards real-world business problems.
The appointees will do their research at the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics and will teach the equivalent of two hours per academic week in one of HHL’s graduate level management programs (MBA or Diplomkaufmann/-kauffrau).
Required qualifications are a habilitation or, for international applicants, a Ph.D. and university-level teaching and research. The applicants must teach in English and, preferably, should have some experience with MBA programs. Expertise in interdisciplinary research and teaching and relevant work experience are preferred.
Salaries will be within the German professorial range.
