Talks and Discussions    Numerous lectures, podium discussions as well as background talks on the issue of Globalisation and Ethics have been held at the Wittenberg Center in the past. These events are most often than not offered to selected participants. They are however occasionally open to an interested general public. The facilities of the Wittenberg Leucorea University suit, in ideal way, events held for an evening, a day or such that last for several days and can offer a seating capacity for up to 200 persons. Appropriate and auspicious possibilities for overnight stays are available. Furthermore, outstanding conference facilities as well as the authentic UNESCO world heritage locations: the Wittenberg Leucorea University, the Luther House, the City Church, the Castle Church, the Town Hall at the Market place, the Melanchthon House and Cranach Courtyard all offer a unique ensemble for special events- just 45 Minutes away from the Berlin main train station. Following invitations from the Center, prominent personalities readily come to Wittenberg.   Discussion with Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler On May 11th 2004, on a last public appearance before his election as German Federal President, Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler visited the Wittenberg-Center for Global Ethics. He had, together with representatives from the Churches, the world of politics, economy and science, a fruitful discussion on the ethics of globalisation as well as on the development of Africa.
