Dimension of Sustainability

Thanks to the financial support of the Ludwig-Erhard-Foundation a three-day seminar on the “Dimension of Sustainability- Perspectives of a sustainable Social Market Economy” was organised at the Center. Following the programmatic title of “Sustainability: Inspiring idea or empty formula?” students and young scientist from all over Germany as well as from neighbouring Switzerland and Poland discussed on sustainability as a holistic concept. Main focus was the on the justice of generations, sustainable state financing and environmental politics. Besides short presentations and business game was organised to concretely show the participants the dilemmas that exist in the social Market Economy which hinder ecological and social considerations.

Jörg Tremmel, CEO of the prominent Think-Tanks "Stiftung für die Rechte zukünftiger Generationen" as well as Prof. Dr. Klaus Beckmann, Prorector of the well known Andrássy University of Budapest were the instructors.
