Growth Market Corruption – A stumbling block in the smooth functioning of the Social Market Economy |
| A three day Young Leader Seminar was organised at the Center in July on the theme: Growth Market Corruption – A stumbling block in the smooth functioning of the Social Market Economy – Corruption prevention as duty of the regulatory policy. The Wittenberg-Center organised this Workshop in cooperation with the Chair of Economic Ethics of the Martin-Luther-University, Halle-Wittenberg as well as the Ludwig-Erhard-Foundation. The aim of the Workshop was to analyse the dimension and the harmfulness corruption brings to bear on the economic and social system as well as developing effective solutions to combat corruption. The need for appropriate and enforceable basic conditions as well as the need for Companies to strongly commit themselves to effectively combating corruption was elaborated. A comprehensive study on this theme is now available. |
